What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Summer season means wedding season

June marks the official beginning of summer, which also means that wedding season is here! According to The Knot 73% of all weddings taking place between May and October, so it’s likely that you’ve received an invite to a friend or family member’s ceremony in the upcoming months.

If you’re still looking for a dress to support your loved one’s big day in style, Quanta du Soleil has something for you. While you can’t go wrong with any of our designs, take a look at our wedding guest recommendations and get some inspiration for what to wear!

Florals that never fail

Along with weddings, another staple of the summer season is one of our favorite prints: florals. The feminine pattern is so diverse and can compliment any wedding theme. During every Spring/Summer season, florals can be found on runways worldwide, as the print is absolutely timeless. Small, delicate flower prints are always in style, but this year, larger florals have been on trend as well. If you’re looking to play up the femininity of the florals, style your dress with pearls and a pair of strappy sandal heels. If a girly look isn’t your favorite, no worries--a pair of boots and a leather jacket can add that desired structure and edge to a dress.

Another testament to the versatility of a good floral design is the wide range of colors they can be found in. Pastel flowers in baby pinks, lavenders, and sky blues exude a youthfulness that aligns perfectly with the summer season, but we’re also loving bold reds, yellows, and greens. Try out these pops of color with our GRETA and ESTELLE Dresses for a fresh and vivid take on the pattern.

Something short and sweet

Warmer weather means shorter hemlines! If you’re looking for something that’s flirty and fun, you can’t go wrong with a mini-dress. Quanta du Soleil has a variety of mini dresses in varying colors, prints, and silhouettes. Contrast the short hemline with a longer balloon sleeve, like our LAVENDER dress, or show a bit more skin with the off-the-shoulder silhouette of the MELLI Dress. We’re personally obsessed with the ruffle detailing on the SORA Dress. The ruffling around the neckline and bottom of the dress add a liveliness to an already fun dress--just imagine yourself at the reception, dancing the night away in it!

The key is to dress up your mini with accessories. Class it up with some heels and dainty jewelry, or go trendy with white knee high boots and a little handbag. Confidence is key with a mini dress, and we’re positive you can’t help but feel confident in our designs.

Who said you had to wear a dress?

Whether it be for convenience or simply personal style preference, a dress just may not be what you’re looking for. No worries! Just as cute and arguably even more versatile than a dress is a matching set. We love their ability to make any guest look instantly and effortlessly put together. If you’re struggling to find a dress you could see yourself sitting beside the aisle in, a matching set may just be the perfect solution.

The CHARLI Set features a cropped button up blouse and matching skirt in a gingham pattern. It’s so playful and ideal for an outdoor, daytime wedding. The ROUGE Set is a bit more of a mature option, featuring a sexy shade of red. The skirt is longer but has a button closure slit along the side, allowing you to show off just the right amount of leg.

If skirts aren’t your thing, the GABRIELLE Set offers class and comfort. The flowy material of the pants and blouse breathe well on those hot summer days without sacrificing style. It can easily be dressed up or down, ensuring you’ll get the most wear possible out of it.

For every guest, finding what to wear to a wedding should be one of the most fun parts of it all, second only to watching your loved ones celebrate their big day (and maybe the open bar as well!) Find something you love and be the most stylish in attendance--besides the bride, of course--with a piece from Quanta du Soleil.
